The Future of Remote & Hybrid Work 

This session will feature research conducted by the Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies (CAHRS) on the future of remote and hybrid work.  We will examine how companies are creating, adjusting, and communicating their long term hybrid work strategy in consideration of the pandemic and its impact on the way we think about future of work and talent.  In addition, we will discuss the key steps HR leaders need to take to ensure the success of these strategies.

Bradford S. Bell is the William J. Conaty Professor of Strategic Human Resources and Director of the Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies (CAHRS) in the ILR School at Cornell University.  He received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland at College Park and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University.  His research interests include training and development, team development and effectiveness, and virtual work. He has published over 50 articles and book chapters in a variety of outlets, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Human Resource Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, and Group & Organization Management. His research has been recognized through several awards and honors, including the 2008 Early Career Achievement Award from the Academy of Management HR Division and an Emerald Management Reviews Citation of Excellence. He is a former Editor of Personnel Psychology and a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) and the American Psychological Association (APA).
